One Year Later

One Year Later

One year ago, I published a post titled, Yesterday Isn’t, Today Is, Tomorrow…Maybe. I won’t rehash all the points I made. But I suggest you go back and read it to see how things have changed. Better? Or worse?

There are two issues that surfaced in 2025 that weren’t blipping the radar very loudly until late ‘24. The first, which started in earnest because of the November election, is the unceasing attacks on President Trump by the Democrat-controlled Department of Justice (an oxymoron?) and abetted by the left-leaning media. The second, a harbinger of a much deeper problem, is corruption and fraud recently uncovered in the Minnesota childcare industry.

Without diving into these,

I want to start this year on a more positive note. If you’ve read any of my other posts, you know that I’m like a broken record promoting the answer to our world’s problems. But I do it for one reason and one reason only. The country I was born in, served the U.S. Army in, raised my family in, and likely will die in, is rapidly heading down the path that leads away from God. I hardly recognize it as the one I grew up in.

We’re seeing the second law of thermodynamics (simply stated in layman’s terms as “everything moves from order to chaos”) happening in our lifetime. Emphasis on everything. Mechanical systems wear out. Buildings left vacant for years deteriorate. Man’s moral makeup is continually embracing more and more aberrant behavior. So how can this be a positive post? Simply because the answer to all these issues is positive. It’s good, no, make that great news.

A holy God, who created the universe,

loves you with unimaginable love. And, despite our recklessly mocking Him and ignoring His warnings of impending doom, He still awaits our awakening to our sin problem and turning to Jesus Christ, who took our sentence of death on Himself so we could be reunited with the Father. Heaven, which is beautiful beyond our comprehension, awaits all who trust Jesus to wash their sins away. Knowing Jesus, is the only way to truly enjoy a Happy New Year.
