Week 1 – Accountability  Key verse: “Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Prov. 27:17

In this discussion, we’ll identify what accountability is, to whom we should be accountable, why it’s important to be transparent, and more. Men tend to be loners, to play it close to the vest when it comes to sharing feelings. This week we’ll try to attack that mindset, knowing that God’s standard of purity is best met by not doing anything in the dark we wouldn’t want known in the light.

How would you define accountability?

How does one man sharpen another?

To whom are you or should you be accountable?

Is there transparency in your accountability? How?

Do you have a group of trusted men with whom you can share accountability? How does that work (meet, phone calls, how often, etc.)?

Do you have a specific time for reading the Word and prayer? Why or why not?

Father, Sometimes Your standard seems way out of reach. Remind me that Your Spirit is MY helper to get me through the rough times and stay on the narrow path to You. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
